thursday POETRY PROMPT

WRITE A "REFRESH" POEM

Always Poetic

Before I met the new
Dark room collective of
Poets like Tretheway, Smith,
And Young
I knew the old school
Poets like Tennyson, Coleridge
And Longfellow
Who all captivated and refreshed
My imagination with descriptive
Scenes of soldiers and sailors at
War and peace
On land and sea riding horses on
Death missions and meeting
Ancient mariners on a deserted street
