2014 APRIL PAD CHALLENGE: DAY 2

For today's prompt write a voyage poem...a voyage can happen in a variety of ways--even on foot, or psychologically. Heck, the process of writing a poem is a sort of voyage all its own. Happy poeming?

THE PATH BACK

While traveling

Life's rugged road

You fell from heaven

Into my path

Leading this heart on a

Journey

Soaring on the delicate

Wings of love

Upwards we traveled

Higher and closer we came

To the clouds above when

Without warning

Without provocation

It seemed

We spiraled downward where

You released me

And dropped this heart

Back down to earth

Back down to life's

Rugged road looking

For the way home

  1. It's called love
    It's causes me to shake
    As I awake
    My prizes and sunrise
    A taste of lemon cake.
    I have a mental disease
    I believe it's love
    I sweat
    I sever
    My warmth in the winter
    My cloud and rain
    I would climb your rainbow
    I'm completely insane
    I got a mental disease
    I know it is love
    It's infection grows
    It makes me weak
    And weary
    Spreading through
    My body like
    a cancerous soul
    I developed a disease
    I'm sure it's love
    Caught up in the rapture
    Is what I am
    My aphrodisiac
    My Oyster and clams
    I am my mental disease
    I flow like the river
    Deeper than the ocean
    I have mental disease
    My subliminal emotions.

  2. That's exactly it Word Master, yet a poem, a piece, is always about wherever you, the poet, the writer, takes it! I love your ability to take me up, up and away out of my own head. I enjoy how you "color outside the lines" of your pictures.
